Stationed at Theydon Mount, Epping, Aubrey was injured in a motorcycle accident near Glemsford, Suffolk, one month before his 21st birthday. He died in
Colchester Military Hospital. The 8th Battalion saw no active service during WW2, but it is not known whether Aubrey was at one time with another of the
